I appreciate all the work the Board and the volunteers have put in this year. Just wondering when the points are going to be updated for 2013?

Dustin has been working hard on getting the points done. He had to set up a new spread sheet and make some revisions after the fact. Should be up very soon.

Not sure what race took place between July 8th and now but the points will be posted before the next race (Aug 3rd). Maybe if the board members weren't spending a full weekend at work parties with only a few club members helping, the points would move up on the "to do" list....

Come on Dustin, you're a much better person than that. I believe we all know that Board members put in a ton of work, but no matter how many winks you put after that comment, that's a low blow to the membership.

It is not a country club boys , the membership fee that is paid is the lowest on the west coast for the best facility on the west coast. As a former VOLUNTEER BoD member, I can tell you that it is not easy to run the day to day operations of the club, work the work parties with minimal help from the membership, run a business or go to work every day and still want to go home and sit at a computer to do the "points". Give them a break and it will get done. So with that said, put your "complainy pants" back in the drawer and relax because that is what they are trying to do. I can tell you that those that are doing the job now will get it done in as quick of time as they can while still having a life of their own.

Back many many moons ago, before most of current club members were racing, we had a non-board member take care of the points since the racers wanted them posted ASAP. After the races, they would email the results to this person, the points would get updated and posted within the week after the race. It was a pretty good system. I know all the board members are working their butts off to keep the club going in the right direction, still the best club I have ever raced at on the west coast. If they keep getting hassled over small things, like points, they may not continue to volunteer for our club. If someone wants to help them out by maintaining the points for them, I know they would appreciate it greatly.......otherwise please be patient with them until they have the time. The best thing a discussion forum can be used for is figuring out solutions to issues as they come up. The board is willing to listen to your ideas.
