A laundry list from a potential racer/member

Okay, I have a few questions that I have been unable to find answers to elsewhere.

I'm looking at a couple options for getting back into the sport after a long few years away!

1. Are there any fees applicable in addition to the club membership, and race/practice fees? (In Canada we have to pay for a license, and some other bs before we race)
2. Is leasing a pit stall mandatory, or if I am not picky, can I just take what is available for that particular weekend?
3. Is drilling/lock wiring everything on the kart required? According to IKF nylock is sufficient, but I've raced enough to know clubs sometimes do their own things, (and I'm not a fan of the sliced up hands that come with working on a kart with pseudo barb wire bombs all over it for a weekend)
4. Is there a CRG dealer (not necessarily specifically CRG, but somewhere I can get CRG parts) that supports the club races?
5. Is there a dealer who offers storage for the season, as I'm I the Okanagan, and don't necessarily fancy hauling all my stuff down and back 7 to 9 times a year?
6. Are there any hotels the club has a preferred rate with?
7. Is on-site camping allowed (especially on the night race weekends)?

1. To race with the club there are no fees in addition to membership. You have the option to join IKF, which you must have to run gold cup races (they do offer single event membership)
2. Leasing a pit stall is not mandatory, most pit stalls on the asphalt are reserved by now. There is lots of room in the gravel lot to pit, it's just a longer walk to the grid, but that is where there is normally room.
3. Ballast MUST be wired. Everything else i believe can use a one-time use nylock to secure. We utilize IKF safety and competition rules primarily.
4. There are no CRG dealers at the club, Me and My Brother Chris are a dealer(Midnight Motorsports) though i would have to look to see if i can get CRG parts as i am unsure(only a part-time gig).
5. I can offer storage for the season, as well as out of town hauling for gold cup races.
6. As far as hotels, i am unsure. Maybe one of the other board members will know.
7. On site camping is definitely allowed. We have even had people pitch tents.

Any more questions don't hesitate to ask. We have a great club with great people that are always willing to help.

The Western Canadian importer for crg is actually in town here (Kelowna), but it doesn't really help me 6 hours away!

What would we be looking at for storage for the season?
I don't have much interest in the gold cup.

I'm really just looking at going out and having some fun again, and trying to do it cost effectively!

My options are Chilliwack - 3 hours each way, including one pass over a mile high and another 3/4 of a mile high.... (and a track thai is boring and too wide) in dd2

...or down there, where the track looks more fun (wrenched there, but never got the chance to drive)

What line of gear are you bringing in. .. just out of interest?

...oh, and if all the paved spots are taken before I make a decision, what is the lease cost for a gravel spot?

i saw that you said DD2, the club here does not have a DD2 class. now they will find a place for you to run if you show up and want to race but it will not be with other DD2 racers.

we have a large two stroke classes for rotax, PRD, and a good shifter class (which was the largest class last year at times and my recommendation)

the gravel pits are first come first serve.

Nah, if I did DD2 I'd probably race in Chilliwack, and do the Western Canadian KC series. I'm still a year away from qualifying for DD2 masters, but that'd be the long term goal if I got serious (world finals).
I'm thinking for now the track there looks way more fun, and I get the feeling there's less BS down there!
