I will start by saying Hello and hope to meet everyone very soon, as my grandsons and I will be joining the club as soon as I can get the four karts ready. My question is about what gear ratio should I be running in the KT 100 SR sportsman class? I need to know what tooth driver and what tooth driven sprockets I should buy for 219 chain. Engine is all stock with 4 hole can exhaust, do I need to change the exhaust to be legal? I also need to know what size wheels I need. The other KT 100 is A JR. with the wa55-1 carb and 4 hole can exhaust, need the same info for that class. I already have the two animal class karts done, thanks to several of the board members and their info and helping me pick up some very reasonable priced engines.PLEASE ANY help and info you can help me with, I thank you in advance for!!! Again THANK YOU and hope to see you all very soon.......Jerry Hand APEX RACING

Most guys in the Sr. Super Sportsman KT-100 class run an 11 tooth sprocket on the clutch and an 86 tooth on the axle, plus or minus a tooth. At the Tri-city track we run either the RLV-3 or the Horstman HPV-3 spec pipes. The flex length is regulated and listed on this website under the rules. I believe it is 9.75" measured from the piston to the end of the flex pipe, but check the rules. For the MG Yellow tires we run in that class you should use 5" x 8.25" wheels for the 7.10 width rear tires, and 5" x 5.5" for the 4.60" width front tires. There currently aren't any karts running in the Jr. class for the KT-100, but the Sr. class usually has a good turn out. I have a HPV-3 spec pipe for sale if you want it, for $75.00. (509) 520-2169. Hope to see you at the track soon.
