what is the best way to go about getting a chassis for the clone class? I have never really been around karts and do not have anyone to help me out. my first thought is to get something that i can upgrade and move up to a faster class if i like. but what would i be looking for? i know this a vage question but i dont know really where to start. my goal would be to have a kart (motor and chassis) that can compete with in the class, then the rest is up to me.
also, is there enough of a difference between the HF motors and the 'race' ready motors to justify the price difference?
i am looking to get set up sometime next race season unless one **** of a deal comes along before then.

I'm guessing that Keith at Phatboyz has outfitted at least half the karts running the Clone class. He posted his phone #, give him a call.

I've got a post on the classifieds listing three karts. Each is a complete rolling chassis and each would be a good kart to start out on and then move up into another class later on.

I also have a race ready clone kart for sale that I currently race in the clone class, if you are looking for just a chassis though so you can build the kart the way you want Joe Miller does have some nice karts in all price ranges. Keep in mind any kart you buy should have the same size seat you want to run and hopefully the same tires we run and it should also come with a motor mount because if it has the wrong size seat or wrong tires all that stuff adds up if you have to go buy the correct parts later. In other words get the most complete kart you can for the class you want to run and for the best price and it will save you money in the long run.
