I have a couple karts we are assembling and will have out for the last club race this season. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction for gearing. Looks to be short track for that race. Thanks

Great to see more karts in the class, this is a fun class to run. Your gear selection is going to be based on how much you & your kart weigh, so once you find that out then someone can give you a better Idea. The class weight with driver is 370. As far as tire pressure goes I would just set all 4 at 14 lb and see how it handles then adjust from there.

Another thing. There will be 3 open practice days between the next race (Sept. 26) and the last race you guys are planning on attending (Oct. 9). I would highly recommend you use those days to spin some laps and get yourselves familiar with the track and your kart. Those days are also good for asking questions to other racers and to flush out any potential problems you may have with your kart befor you hit the track racing.

yeah, i'm looking to put one together for my uncle for the last race and am wondering about the gearing. At the race weight of 370, what is a decent ratio, i can figure it out from there, just need a starting spot.

4.0 to 4.2 seems to work best for those of us weighing in near the minimum. Though you really need to hit one of the practice days to dial in what works best for you.
See you at the track!
