I thought I'd shed a few pounds, but it got out of hand! Actually, I'm stripping 'er down for a full rebuild. It's amazing how many things need repaired or replaced. Attachments:

What needs to be repaired/replaced? Need to repair some broken floor pan tabs, replace the king pin bearings, replace the rear bearing retainers, the brake rotor is wobbling, fabricate a new floor pan, full width bumper, replace all the old/hard fuel lines, replace the throttle rod... On second thought, maybe I ought to buy one of Joe's chassis...

Getting closer. Little bit more work on the rear axle and fabricate a full width bumper and all will be good. Sadly, it won't be seeing the track this weekend... Attachments:

Don't feel bad I just got mine back from powder coating 6 days ago and my spindles just got shipped today, and there coming from Florida. Got at least a week before I will have it together, if it shows up early enough next week.

That looks good. I can't wait to rub some yellow and black on that chassis! :-)

I should be hitting the track this weekend. I had Corey CC the engine to make sure everything is legal and all is good. I've finished off the full width bumper. Had to switch out the gas tank because my aluminum one was leaking at one of the fittings. Rather than weld it up right now, I'm using a plastic one that Gene bought but never used. Lastly, I've been busy monkeying around with the carb to get it to run right and putting the lead back on. Attachments:

Nice, Rob. I heard you were giving Eric a hard time with that thing last weekend. You might want to treat your filter with some K&N filter oil. It'll help keep the dust out of the carburetor.

Yea, I got to get me a can of that. How often do you change the air filter? I'm used to dirtbikes and I cleaned or changed mine every ride. Since we aren't on dirt can we go a whole season with one filter?
