I was reading the specs on the yellow Dupor engines at ARC Racing and they state that:
"Piston is .008" to .012" in the hole yielding a low 27cc combustion chamber volume - great compression."
The Burris rules limit it to 27.5 cc's.
"Minimum combustion chamber volume when mounted on engine @ TDC is 27.5 cc's using prescribed procedure as noted in rule 8.5."
I am curious as to what the actual measurement is.
Have any of you guys running these yellow motors measured the cc's, or are you just adding an extra head gasket to bring them up to 28 cc's?
Thanks.

I know the guy who built my motor said a stock Dupor motor isn't legal for Burris Rules. So there ya go!.

If they do measure at 27 cc's, adding another .010" head gasket should make them about 28 cc's.

Burris makes a Honda Clone gasket that will bring it up over 27.5cc's. It's a good quality gasket. We are having problems with the dual gasket leaking on our motors. Something to think about. ARC has it on their website.

I guess another easy fix would be to change our CC rule to 26.5 min.

I guess another easy fix would be to change our CC rule to 26.5 min. That would be a change the IKF and Burris would have to make.
