I know a few that raced clone in 2011 are moving on to other classes (me included), but who is staying put and racing it in 2012?

Rob and I are going to race clones, I think that Michael will run most of the races.

Three Clones coming right up! My Father in law Mark, my son Devon, and I will all be racing Clones this year. We are new to kart racing, but have raced circle track for years. We where invited the pumpkin race last year and that was all it took, we now have three karts. Can't wait to go racing!

Welcome Badoux. Looking at last years points list I think we might get about 12 Clone drivers back. Adding you 3 and Jarrod should give us around 16 plus other new drivers. It should be another great year, I can't wait!

Badoux, Glad to hear you have several clones coming out this year. Last year was our first year in karting also. We learned tons running clones last year and I'm sure you will too. If you or any other new clone driver's have any questions don't hesitate to ask, that is what the message board is here for.
Also feel free to call if you need anything.

ill be there running in one of the weight classes.
doesnt appear that there will be many heavy weights this year, and i should be good to go in light weight.

Maybe get rid of the duel classes and join the two by meeting in the middle. In world formula's I think all the light weights are going to weigh up to 390 so it's a bigger class. something to think about.

We ran 370 lbs in 2010 and that worked well for most people. The lighter guys had to add up to 50 lbs of lead. I doubt they would want to add more than that.
The only reason we changed to 360 lbs was because we added the Heavy Class. Without them I think we should go back to 370 lbs for the Clone Class.

Maybe a head count of heavy weights might be appropriate.

I'm not sure how many heavy weight karts there will be this year. I plan to run the light class. Maybe it would be more appropriate to have a masters class with the weight being around 390 or so?

Looks I will be running in the heavy class this year . I also have a buddy that may get a kart before the start of the season. So add one for sure and maybe two.
