Track Work Party This Weekend the 26th and 27th

It would be Great if we could get some more help this weekend to finish up some of the final work. The new fence is completed and we need to set all of the New Safety Barriers in place. The New Drain system for turn Two needs to have River Rock and pipe installed. The new asphalt won't be put down by this weekend due to the weather so they are going to put it down on Monday. We are also going to Replace the fence on the Front Straight away by the Bleachers so we can take the old chain link down to get it ready for Tri-City Fence to install next week. If I have missed anything I'm sure Corey will up date this post. I can't tell you how much we appreciate all the Hard work that everyone has done.

Here is a list of some of the things we need to get done this weekend.


Drill and bolt together more tires

Assemble the new Scribner Barrier (over 300 feet so far!)

Fill the dry well in turn 2 with rock, cover and back fill

remove the old perimeter fence along the road

Bury the bottom 8" of the new fence around the track and the exit of the chicane

Move all of the tires and straw bails out to the perimeter fence

Double check all the sprinkler systems for leaks and broken sprinklers before they pave

Remove the fence along the bleacher area so the new one can be installed next week

dig up the roots of the sycamore trees along the hot pit so they don't ruin the new asphalt.

move the sprinkler line that is next to the new bathroom and aim it out toward the drain field area.

install and paint the rest of the bollards along the south side of the pits and new restroom

build and install the shelving in the storage room of the new restroom (this is not a critical thing now, just needs to get done)

I'm sure I am forgetting somethings but this will give us a good start.
