To put this very bluntly, we need every club member to come out and help us out here in order to get all of this done by the next club race. As we have said before, many hands make light work and we will not open this track until all the work is done.
This weekends work will start at 8:00 am so we are not there all weekend.
Finish the edges of the track with dirt and sod (see David, Gene, Jesse or I for direction)
Repair all of the sprinklers and adjust them all
Add dirt to the island between the old and new turn 1's to raise it up to the racetrack surface
Add Dirt, rake out on the exit of the new turn 1, and put down the new sod
Install the new sprinkler system in the “island” between the old and new turn 1’s
Install the remaining bollards along the south side of the pits to protect the drain field and septic tank.
Place all of the new Scribner barrier on the track along the front straight, crossovers and other concerning areas.
Stripe the edge of the track, Start/Finish line and shifter starting grid.
We need to install the new 35' of fence at the entrance.( poles are already set)
Finish moving all the straw bales and tires out around the fence line.
Install and seal the new Alfano mag. strips
Pull new cable into the bottom of new front straight fence and tighten with a turnbuckle.
Pick up all the garbage that has accumulated throughout the track update weeks
Burn all the tumbleweeds that are accumulating along the fence lines, without catching the straw bales on fire.
I am guessing that I am forgetting somethings so please bear with us and we will get this done correctly.
