Alright, I am loking into going into this class, and i was wondering what gears you run (EXMP 91) and do most of you run dry, dd or wet clutchs?

Derek-
I was definitely faster running direct drive, unless it rained... But you have your obvious downfalls to running it... There is a certain routine that joey mcguiire has mastered, like closing the needle valve all the way down before you stop in the pits etc... If you have a finniky engine, it can be a pain in the butt watching a race from turn 1...or 4 ;D for that matter if you cant get it started... As for gearing, I cant remember...its been too long...sry...

DD yamaha is awesome! The best class I ever ran. It is so cool to run and jump in your kart to get it started. It will definately smooth you out and make you a better driver.
I believe we ran a 10-18/79 in formula y and superbox. Im almost positive that it was a ten tooth driver but not 100% sure.
