Excellent job! It's hard enough keeping karts running at a gold cup, let alone finding time to take photos and notes.

Great job Joey! It's too bad I had my worst finish all this year at that track. If you do this again at Canby, I could give you a hand on saturday since I only race in the sunday class.

Thanks for checking out the story. Let me know if you have any good ideas I could add for the future. I have plenty I would like to add to it and I'll take you up on the help Chase. Especially if you are any good with a camera. I took all of the ones in the story from my little cheapo digital camera. I think that more photos is one of the things I want to get in the future.

You did good by sticking pictures next to what you were covering in your story. The only bad I have to say about the pictures, is when you clicked on them and clicked back to keep reading, it sent the reader to the top of the page.
Just an idea, stick all the pictures into a folder with titles ie.,"Heat 1-Rotax" etc. What this will do, is make your context more organized and then you can put a bold title at the beginning of each story, again, "Heat 2-TaG". So it's easier for the reader to follow what they are reading.
Again, great job! I love to read about events!

I've actually been taking some pictures at the last few races. I also have kind've a cheaper digital camera too but some tracks I can get good pics with it. I didn't take too many at Spokane but I took a lot at Chilliwack and Tacoma. Here's the turn one incident in International. I also have an old 35mm camera with a great lens on it. I can zoom real good but the pics are a little grainy. Tacoma was the first time I've used it on action shots so I'm still figuring it out.

maybe at the end of each story put a table of the top 5 for each qual/heat/main, link for mylaps, also season points. people like to get info quick, who won, who was on pole, what the points look like after the race. more pictures, you can never have too many pictures, not like im racing gold cup, but id love to go and take pictures. i have a digital slr camera i could do them with, this offer may expire next year if i find a dang rotax to borrow

Thanks for the ideas. I added a Mylaps link and I was checking out how the photos load when you look at the larger image, but mine seems to get right back where I was in the story. What browser are you using Mooch? I will try it on that and see if I can find a universal fix. Thanks

I use Mozilla! Maybe it is my browser, I'm not sure.
If someone can fill me in on what happened in International, that would be cool. Is this the incident with Zimmer? I'm also curious to hear what happen afterwards.

I'm not one to write to many posts but after reading your Spokane Gold Cup articles, I had to write a compliment. They were very well written and the photography was great. Good Job and keep up the good work. I bookmarked the site and look forward to reading more.
