Well, the Rotax World Championships in Egypt are over, and our American boys had a great showing...They just happen to be from the NW, too! Joey Wimsett did a GREAT job all week, staying out of trouble, winning a heat race, and staying towards the front the whole time...He ended up coming home 4th! Phil Arscott didnt have such luck, and had to claw his way up from the LCQ, started 30th in the final, and picked his way up to 7th!!! American Cody Hodgson also did a great job in DD2, bringing it home 3rd!
Congrats guys, now the USA has qualified for the Nations Cup!!
We have some SERIOUS talent here in the NW!

I was so stoked to hear about this the other day. It's really great to see how the level of competition in the NW ranks against the best in the world. Joey even became the first ever American driver to win a heat race at the world finals too. It's too bad Stepanova Nekeel apparently had issues early on but was fast. There could have even been 3 top finishers from the NW. Way to go guys! Edit: They also didn't just qualify for the Nations Cup, they brought home 2nd place overall for USA. That is an accomplishment to be proud of. -Chase
