I broke my kart chain too short and went and picked up some regular chain. What's the opinion of using regular spaced chain instead of the 35 SPACED CHAIN?

Not to be rude, but there is no "regular" chain. In karting we use 219, 35, and shifters run 428. The #35 is the most common for 4-strokes, but this is also changing with time. The 219 chain is what most two strokes use. Honestly, there are good chains in both sizes and both are almost equally as strong. I prefer 219 myself, it rolls free-er and i can get gears easy. I use predominantly "2-stroke" size gears is why they are easy to find, then just cut them on one size and twist them around the axle, no aligning of the 2 halves. ;D Many opinions out there.

I get it. The 35 chain I bought from a machine shop isn't spaced like the 35 RLV Kart chain I was using. It seems the kart chain everyone uses has a little wider pins and has more play. Looked a little thicker(stronger). Don't think I'll get many opinions as this past weekend I didn't see anyone using the chain I was. Sorry I shoulda used better terminology. Rob
