What are the chances the Club would consider running a World Formula class next year?

It all has to do with what the racers show up with. If you bring a WF kart to the track you will be put in a class that most closely matches the kart you are in. If enough WF's show up then you would be given your own race. To run as a TCKC championship class there must be an average of at least 3 entries per race. There's not a lot to it. Our classes are dictated by our racers, not the club. I hope that answers your question.

I would also like to run World Formula next season. From the sounds of it at the work party yesterday there may be a couple others that may want to run also. Let’s see what kind of interest there is and maybe we could add a class if there is a large enough kart count. If not we can always run with another class like Mike said. So far it looks like 3 for sure and maybe a few other potentials. Who else would be interested? Post up and let us know.

I have a World Formula that we Won a Duffy and Screaming Eagle with in 2010 TCKC Grand Nationals. It comes with a Extra Pipe, 2 clutches, and many other extras. It is completely fresh and has not been Run since the 2010 Nationals. $1100.00 Contact Jesse Brown or Micheal Groff if you are in need of a Great Deal. (509)528-2673

I think it would make a great heavy class at a 390 or 405. Which there will be those two classes at nationals

No matter what happens next year, I picked up a Margay Brava WF kart today. I can't wait to get this thing on the track and have some fun!

For those that are interested in running WF next year what are your thoughts on weight? We should probably come up with a good compromise that would allow all of us to run competitively and give us a chance to practice for Nationals (for those that plan on running). I think the weights at Gold Cups will be Medium at 365, Heavy at 390, and Super Heavy at 400. I believe Nationals will have the same with the addition of Light at 340 and a true Masters at 400 for drivers 40+. Someone correct me on the classes and weights if I am wrong but these give us an idea of what we have for options.

My opinion would be heavy. Lighter guys like me would have to add weight, and heavier guys wouldn't be disadvantaged as they would be in a medium or light class.

The super heavy I believe is 405#, but anyhow I would also recommend the heavy, usually a very large class at gold cup also. The reason being is the medium guys weight up, and the masters take some off. Great racing, very close and competitive.

I was also thinking Heavy would be a good option but wanted to see what others preferred. I didn’t know if the lighter guys would want to lead up that much but it sounds like you guys are on the same page. Anyone else have an opinion on this?

Wow.... It looks like the World Formula class is starting to grow some interest. Based on the 2010 Nationals the World Formula's had the largest interests. I don't know how much the World Formula Masters had to weigh but they were the largest group. World Formula Masters started 23 karts and they were far and above the largest field. Good Luck you guys....
