I bought a full width rear bumper at the swap meet and installed it on my KT100 Tonykart today and it over hangs the rear tires about an 1 1/2" on each side. So my question is how far can the rear hubs overhang the axle?? Or do I just need too hack the bumper down?

If you have a plastic rear bumper, you cannot cut it down and still have it be legal, if it is a steel one, you can modify it as needed. On 2 cycle karts, the rear tires have to be at least even with the outside edge of the bumper. If you have a 1040mm long axle and 60mm to 90mm long hubs you should not have any issues getting there. Max rear track width is 55 1/8". Hope this helps

So is it ok to over hang the hubs past flush with the rear axle or do I need to buy a new racer axle or hubs?

So is it ok to over hang the hubs past flush with the rear axle or do I need to buy a new racer axle or hubs? I'm not exactly sure if this is what you are asking. But.. Widening and Narrowing the rear hubs on the axle is perfectly normal and should also be used for adjustment purposes. The following link may help. www.lequireracing.com/setup.html

Meant rear axle not racer axle. Right now the outside of my rear hubs are flush with the outside of my rear axle. My question is is it ok to over hang the rear hubs like a 1 1/2" past the end of the axle to make the rear width of the tires equal to the rear bumper.

Yes the rear hubs can extend beyond the end of the axle but how far depends on how long your axle and hubs are...

Thanks Mike that was what I was looking for. I checked and my hubs are too short to do that but Andy mentioned that I could go too a 7 in rear tire so I might go that route instead of buying new hubs. Thanks for the help.
